![]() ![]() I have seen cabinets with turntables bolted in, and this one it just sits on top of the wood secured by gravity alone. Re-use is the highest form of recycling, and I might be able to find room for a radio where I wouldn't have room for a cabinet. I know this isn't practical, but it is something I want to do. mount the original speakers in standard speaker boxes.isolate the Garrard 3000 as a stand alone table.make the radio tuner amp into a stand alone unit with speaker outputs and phono inputs.gut a working record player cabinet 1950-60's-ish.I intend to scavenge/salvage the components from a working vintage cabinet with a Garrard 3000 and I didn't really get a good look underneath, and won't be back to examine it for some time. We got turntables in need of plinths and wiring connectors, pre-amps in need of the same, radio tuners/selector switches as part of the pre-amp, and speakers, all tied together with a healthy dose of carpentry. I'm not sure under which category record player cabinets belong, they're kind of an all of the above deal. ![]()
